Let Your Baby Know Whether Its Sleep-time Or Wake-Time

“When its dark, its time to sleep”

As long as the baby is in the womb, it is very dark inside. When the baby is exposed to the world, the idea of having to cope with night time and day time is very difficult for the child. As a parent helping your child cope with this main fact will actually help you a lot in the long run and you can get a few hours of sleep as well.

Getting your baby to understand the difference between nighttime and day is easy. All you will have to do is make her realise that when its dark, its time to sleep. So whether she goes to sleep at night or during the day, make sure the room is dark and the shades are drawn. When its time to wake up, open the curtains and let the sunlight stream in, before you get her out of bed. This is to let your baby understand its time to wake up.
