Every time I am down or can’t stop my brain from working, I reach for that pack of Maggie Noodles and hit the oven!!!! There’s absolutely nothing like noodles to me. Comfort food is one of the most dangerous ways a woman gains her weight. And noodles don’t do me any justice. Most girls reach for all the chocolate they can find and stuff down till they are sick.
Question is, is comfort food dangerous? Well it really depends on if you are indulging in comfort food a lot or if it is just once in a way. Going crazy over comfort food for a long time can become a practice and can greatly affect your physique. This is the reason why many people who get on a diet are usually asked about their mental states before they are put on a diet. Survey has showed that women who are upset about something or the other tend to lean toward comfort foods to help them deal with their stress.
If you are using comfort food to stress relieve, then you are making a big mistake. Comfort food when used to deal with a one-time problem actually helps in easing the mind and the body. But if stress is going to be your perpetual problem, then comfort food might be your perpetual problem.
Please get help and deal with your stress first. Adopt yoga or workout if you are stressed and you will thank yourself for it someday. Don’t feed your stomach because your mind is overloaded. Make your workout your comfort-activity than reaching for those noodles for comfort food like me!
